Meteoprotection of Cities
The leading institutes of Roshydromet develop effective technology of cloud modification and means, necessary for its realization. This technology is based on results of experiments on specialized meteoranges in Moldova and Volga region. It was successfully applied in 1986 for meteorological protection of a 30 km area around of Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and since 1995 is regularly used during sportive and testive events in large cities - Moscow, Tashkent and Astana. The technology of improvement of weather conditions allows to disseminate layer-type clouds, to prevent or essentially reduce precipitation above target area.
